TURNING INTEREST INTO ACTION
A Bit About Us
The Fordham Student Sponsored Fellowship was founded by students in 1988 with the goal of eliminating financial constraints for Fordham Law students wishing to pursue careers in public interest law. FSSF is the only organization at Fordham Law solely devoted to providing fellowships to students with unpaid summer internships at government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
FSSF’s mission draws inspiration from the founding dean of Fordham Law School Paul Fuller’s goal of educating lawyers acting “in the service of others.” FSSF is proud to be a fully student-run nonprofit organization, but also maintains a close relationship with the Fordham Law administration, which shows its support by matching up to $50,000 of the donations received.
